Chapter 14: Did Baek-Hyun do this?The next day was laundry day, so I went around picking up all the dirty clothes.
Baek-Hyun had a few. I picked them up while ignoring him, who sat with his legs stretched out on his bed and reading a book.
He seemed to be too concentrated in his book to care about but I felt his eyes on me a few times. It was awkward but I ignored it.
I went over to Woo-Bin's room, wondering if he left any dirty clothes as well but as soon as I opened the door, I was met with a strong and powerful pheromone.
The basket of clothes in my hand fell as I tried to breathe. It smelled like Baek-Hyun's but I couldn't think straight as to why his scent would be so strong coming from Woo-Bin's room.
"What happened?" Baek-Hyun asked, coming out of his room. And as soon as he saw me, his eyes widened. "You... are you okay?"
I looked up at him. He shouldn't know I can smell pheromones if not he'd kick me out. I shook my head and tried to get up.
"It's nothing." I said but it certainly didn't look like nothing.
Baek-Hyun looked at the room and then at me.
"You... are you... ?"
"I had a little heart attack." I blurted out. "It doesn't occur frequently but when it does, it gets so hard to breathe but forget about it." I bent down to pick up the clothes. "I'm feeling better already."
I walked past him towards the laundry room. I didn't get to pick up Woo-Bin's dirty clothes, if ever there was any and the day went by like that. But I still couldn't put my finger on why Baek-Hyun's smell filled the room so much.
Later, I discovered Baek-Hyun sneaking out of Woo-Bin's room. I wouldn't call it sneaking but he was being suspicious.
As soon as he was gone, I went to the room to see what business he did. Just as I was about to open the room, he caught me.
"What are you doing?" I flinched and turned around.
"Nothing!"
"Nothing?" He walked towards me.
"I mean," my eyes couldn't stay on him as I felt I was already caught but he simply open the door and said,
"You ended up leaving without the laundry, didn't you?" He opened the door and the same strong pheromone that hit me the other day hit me again.
I covered my nose and Baek-Hyun raised an eyebrow.
"Why are you covering your nose?" He asked but I couldn't come up with a decent explanation so I said,
"I smell something vulgar coming from the room." It felt a bit offensive but I couldn't think of anything else.
"Vulgar?"
"Just, let me
I wasn't sure which combination he would like so I cooked them all. He could just leave the rest till a later day if he couldn't finish them.
